A Tribute to My Family
I come from a mother who went from being a dedicated healthcare worker to a meticulous germaphobe, and a father whose artistic flair is matched only by his hyper-neat lifestyle. From them, I inherited a passion for caregiving, aesthetic enhancement, and maintaining cleanliness. My sister and my firstborn daughter have instilled in me a deep appreciation for individualism and the wisdom of intuition. Additionally, my youngest daughter, with her unique neurological needs, has illuminated the critical importance of sensory processing and the powerful influence of scents on mental and physical well-being. As a single mother of two and a dedicated community advocate, carving out "me time" is crucial. I repeat, CRUCIAL! I prioritize self-care through small pleasures, such as keeping fresh flowers on my dining room table and ensuring that I enjoy a night out with my friends at least once a month.
Why Focus on Cleaning Bathrooms?
After many evenings out, enjoying a cocktail, and having to relieve myself once or twice, I frequently found myself utterly dismayed by the inadequate state of restroom cleanliness... Slime-speckled-toilet-seats. Oddly moist tissue rolls. A mountain of trash in the trash can. A valley of trash on the floor. Bodily fluid decor on the walls. Strands of hair here. Strands of hair there. You know, the usual.
I had one of two choices - carefully plot how I will navigate the obstacle course of excrements and litter—or not use the bathroom at all, and go home early. Regardless of the decision I made, I often thought to myself, 'Man, I wish I could just clean this up...'
And Now, I Can!
